Diana Finda Konomanyi-Kabbah is a Sierra Leonean politician and the current Sierra Leone Minister of Local Government and Rural Development.〔()()〕〔()〕 She is the former District Chairwoman of Kono District.〔()〕 A member of the All People's Congress (APC), She had previously served as the All People's Congress chairwoman of the Eastern Province region of Sierra Leone.〔().〕 Born and raised in Koidu Town, Kono District to ethnic Kono parents, Diana Konomanyi is widely considired one of the most influential female politicians in Sierra Leone. She is a close ally of Sierra Leone's president Ernest Bai Koroma.〔()〕〔().〕 ==Political career== Diana Konomanyi ran for a seat in the Sierra Leone Parliament in the 2007 Sierra Leone General elections as the candidate of the All Peoples Congress (APC), but she was defeated in a close race by the incumbent parliamentarian Emmanuel Tommy of the Sierra Leone People's Party (SLPP)(). In 2009, Konomanyi was elected as the APC regional chaiwoman for the Eastern Province of Sierra Leone. In 2010, she was elected as the Chairman of Kono District, after defeating Sahr Foa Matturi of the Sierra Leone People's Party in a close race ().
